Dhanteras Puja Prasad/ Bhog:

For Puja, Prasad/ Bhog is the essential item, which after Puja everyone receives as the blessing of the Puja. For Prasad, there are various sweets which you can choose Mathari as the traditional Bhog.

Along with that, Panchamrit, which is the mixture of honey, ghee, sugar, yogurt, and milk added in equal parts is also a traditional Bhog offered to the god.

How to do Dhanteras Puja:

To perform the Dhanteras Puja, follow the steps described below:

  1. First of all, take small wooden slab.
  2. Draw holy symbol Swastik on it.
  3. Take an earthen lamp and light it up.
  4. Take Cowry Shell and make the hole in it and put in into the lamp.
  5. Take Pure water/ Gangajal and shower it on the lamp three times.
  6. On lamp, put tilak and also stick some whole rice on it.
  7. Also, add sugar in the lamp.
  8. Offer a 1 rupee coin on the lamp.
  9. Offer some flowers on it.
  10. Bow down in front of the lamp.
  11. Take the lamp and go outside your home’s main gate.
  12. Place in on the right side of the door, and the flame of the lamp is supposed the south direction.

This way complete the Puja and then do Tilak on everyone’s forehead and also share the Prasad.

There are so many types of Puja for different gods and goddesses; people do numerous Puja vidhi for each of the Hindu gods.
